Our mission
The Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts (MAWD) provides educational opportunities, information and training for watershed district managers and staff through yearly tours, meetings and regular communication. MAWD represents 45 watershed districts in the state. The watershed districts are partners in water protection and management.
Our vision
MAWD, in conjunction with the Minnesota Watershed Districts, seeks to protect and preserve the water resources of the State of Minnesota while addressing land management as well as water quality and quantity issues that affect the citizens of the State, both now and in the future.
strategic plan
Based on input from the MAWD membership survey taken in December 2018, goals have been priorities as the following (1) Education and Training, (2) Communication and Collaboration, and (3) Lobbying and Advocacy. MAWD resources are invested in these focus areas. Here is a progress report of the Strategic Plan Goals.
